To make it easier for you to participate in Peak Smart, Yukon Energy has teamed up with the Yukon government to offer one of the highest rebate amounts in the country. Eligible thermostat and hot water tank controllers may receive up 75% off purchase and installation costs – up to $750 per device — with a maximum of $1,500 in rebates per home.

how the rebate works

Once you’ve joined Peak Smart, you can apply for a rebate. With your device purchase receipt, installation receipt (if applicable), and proof of enrollment, you are ready to submit your rebate application.

Step 1: Check the rebate eligibility below to make sure your device is eligible.

Step 2: Create a MyYukon account with Good Energy Rebates. Click “Let’s get started”.

Step 3: Add your home address to the account. No P.O. boxes please.

Step 4: Find the device type you have and select “Apply Now”.

Step 5: Upload the required information, including proof of purchase and proof of joining Peak Smart. Then click “Submit”. 

You’ve now applied for a rebate! Typically, rebates are sent by cheque to your home address. If you'd prefer to receive your rebate via direct deposit, sign-up for direct deposits with the Yukon Government here, prior to submitting your rebate application.

Eligible Peak Smart Home devices can be purchased from the following retailers.

Be sure to keep your receipt for the rebate application!

• Directly from the Manufacturer, Mysa or Sinopé
• Canadian Tire (Mysa only)
• Northwestel’s retail store (2093 2nd Ave. in Whitehorse, YT)
• Costco (online or in-person)
• Other trusted retailers (check that the device is eligible for the rebate before you buy)

To be eligible for Peak Smart rebates, you must:

• Purchase and/or install one or more eligible devices listed above.
• Apply within one year of purchase of your device(s). Only invoices and receipts dated after December 4th, 2024 are eligible.
• Agree to the Yukon government’s full rebate Terms and Conditions as part of your application.  
• Be signed up for the Peak Smart Home program, through which you’ve agreed to Peak Smart Home’s Terms and Conditions. Visit our Sign Up page to confirm your eligibility with the Peak Smart Home program.
